Each mermaid in this series is designed to resemble a specific fish. The Powder Blue Mermaid uses the markings of a powder blue tang for the tail with some artistic modifications. As the name implies, the Orca mermaid is fashioned after an Orca (killer whale) which actually is a marine mammal. One advantage of fantasy art is its flexibility - you can pretty much do what you want as there are no limitations to your creativity. |
