Barbara is a watercolor artist whose work is distinguished by her use of color, a strong feeling of light, and a love of nature. She seeks to present a view of the world as she sees it - a place where the energy is positive and full of light.
Her artwork reflects her life on the Eastern Shore and in Stuart, Florida, where she winters. Barbara lived and worked near Philadelphia in the surrounding Mennonite countryside.
A consuming interest of hers for over twenty years was working with fabric. She created clothing and wall hangings in quilt art, and received recognition and awards at shows in the local area. In her retirement, her fascination with color and nature has led her into watercolor.
Barbara's paintings can be seen in several galleries on the Eastern Shore. She is a frequent award winner at the 94th Street Gallery in Ocean City, Md. and at member shows of the Eastern Shore Art League.
